Mid Winter Sky Viewing Night

Saturday, February 16, 2019 -
5:00pm to 7:30pm

At Davis-Douglas Farm (Wildlands Trust HQ)

With Astronomer Jim Kundzicz

Join us for an opportunity to view and learn about the constellations of the winter sky. Jim will will start with an indoor presentation in the Barn. Starting early will allow us to see the Moon during dusk, before it gets too bright. We will also target several Winter Constellations when it gets darker - which we can view/discuss with the aid of a Laser Pointer.

We will use the large Binoculars for the Pleiades and Beehive Star Clusters, along with the 10-inch telescope for the Orion Nebula and maybe the Andromeda Galaxy.

This is a FREE event for all ages, donations are appreciated.
