Native Plant Sale and Open House
Brighten your gardens, provide habitat for birds and butterflies, and support Mass Audubon South Shore Sanctuaries by purchasing native shrubs and flowering perennials for your backyard landscape. Master gardeners will be available for advice and to answer questions.
We'll have free snacks and activities for all ages, including guided bird walks and tours of our grounds and gardens. Our gift shop is stocked with feeders, nest boxes, field guides, books, and specialty items, many of which are locally handcrafted. Our staff can help you pick out the right bird feeders, accessories, and field guides for you.
Don't miss a stroll through our gallery to see Avian Works in Four Mediums, an exhibit by local artist Karie O'Donnell. Karie has been in love with the ethereal beauty of birds for as long as she can remember, capturing them on paper from the time she could hold a pencil. Her exhibit features graphite drawings, paper sculptures, oil paintings, and her latest medium - walnut ink. Karie is a graduate of Massachusettes College of Art, a signature member of the Society of Animal Artists, and a licensed Massachusettes Wildlife Rehabilitator. Learn more at karieodonnell.com.
If you have native plants to donate to the sale, please contact us to arrange drop-off early in the week prior to the event.
All proceeds from the Native Plant Sale help us maintain and enhance the grounds, trails, and gardens at our sanctuaries.
This is an Open House: preregistration is NOT required; admission is FREE; and you can drop in anytime.
